Wood

The walls are built of grey mountain stone, inside and out. They carry the colour of the peaks around the house and keep the rooms quiet.

The dining room gathers around an open stone fireplace. On cool mountain evenings, this is where dinner ends and the day’s hike gets retold.

Timber ceilings, beams and floors give the rooms upstairs the feel of a mountain cabin: warm, quiet and close to the trees.

Kitchen

Home-cooked food, from breakfast to dinner

The guest house has its own restaurant. Breakfast is laid out on the terrace with the mountains in view, and in the evening the table fills with dishes from the family kitchen.

Theth

A quiet base in the heart of the Albanian Alps

Theth lies deep in the Albanian Alps, a valley of stone houses, meadows and forest under steep limestone walls. From the guest house you can walk straight onto the trail to Valbonë, and come back in the evening to outdoor tables, a hot meal and a sky full of stars.

Morning coffee facing the peaks of Theth

The peaks

Mornings start on the terrace, coffee in hand, while the limestone peaks above the trees catch the first light.

The trail

The Theth–Valbonë trail can be walked directly from the guest house. Set off in the morning; the garden will be waiting when you come back.

The evenings

Lights in the trees, tables on the grass and the dark shape of the mountain behind. After a day on the trail, this is where guests slow down.
